Accessible technology foundation

We build technology that opens up the world to people with disabilities.

We build games and tools that blind people can use on their own, without having to ask anyone for help. We design them together with those people, and we give them away free.

About us

We're lifelong gamers.

Unlocked Spark Foundation builds games and technology for people with disabilities. We design for them from the ground up, rather than bolting accessibility on at the end.

We know what games can give you: stories, emotion, a sense of agency, a community to belong to. And we know that for years they passed blind players by.

So we don't build for the blind community, we build with it. Testers, consultants and players from the blind community tell us plainly what works and what doesn't, and genuinely shape the game. Around the project we're building a space for collaboration, where anyone can join in and help make something that didn't exist before.

We're supported by Polski Związek Niewidomych, we're part of the ElevenLabs Impact Program, and our technology partner is Heavys. In a game where everything happens through sound, audio quality isn't a feature, it's the foundation.

How we work

Three rules we don't bend

  • Tools, not just games

Our goal isn't one game for blind people, but the tools for them to make their own. We are building an adventure editor.

  • Accessibility isn't a mode

If something only works once you turn on a special option, it doesn't work. We aim at the WCAG standards, including on the page you are reading.

  • Free, no asterisk

No price, no advertising, no in-app purchases. Accessibility you have to pay extra for is, for many people, simply one more barrier.

Our project

The Blind Mage: a game you explore by ear

We don't ship anything that only half works.

First project

A mobile audio game for blind players

A role-playing game for phones, designed from scratch for blind and partially sighted players. It has no graphics. The entire world is conveyed through 3D spatial audio and haptics. This is not a game that was "made accessible": we designed it from the sound outwards, with blind testers involved from day one.

  • 3D spatial audio instead of graphics
  • Touch controls designed for use without sight
  • Full screen-reader support (VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Completely free, with no advertising and no in-app purchases

A free demo is already available on Android and iOS, in Polish, through testing programmes. We are looking for people to play it and share their impressions.

The team

Who builds this

Accessibility takes two things at once: engineering that works, and people who will check whether it really does. We bring both to every project.

Engineering

Technology

We build the game from the ground up in Unity, from the spatial-audio architecture to screen-reader support. The code is ours, so accessibility doesn't wait on somebody else's roadmap.

Sound and narrative

Design

In a game without graphics, sound isn't decoration, it is the interface. We design space for the ear, and the characters' natural voices come from our place in the ElevenLabs Impact Program.

Tester community

Verification

Blind and partially sighted people who put every new mechanic through its paces, and whose comments genuinely reshape the project. You can join them.

Come and find us at Accessibility EXPO in Warsaw

We will be at Accessibility EXPO, part of the REHA for the Blind in Poland conference, 15–16 September 2026 at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. You will be able to play the demo at our stand.

Where we are today

A free demo is available on Android and iOS, in Polish. We take part in the ElevenLabs Impact Program and work with the Polish Association of the Blind.

Play it and tell us what you think.

We want to hear your opinion of the game, and we welcome help from anyone willing to lend a little of their craft. One message is enough.
